Onkologický informační systém M2

OIS M2 is oncology information system that provides oncology department staff a comprehensive information service. Working in M2 is divided into three levels – the clinical level, the level of statistics and management and administrative level .

The clinical level

This level includes only modules that coordinate the treatment of patients. Basic modules are patient registry, radiotherapy and chemotherapy module. Radiotherapy module can be subdivided into a non cancer and cancer RT.

The patient registry is the core module for the management of patients. With this module you can insert and manage patients in the system, the module takes care of displaying all information about treatment (medical history, medical reports and records, coordination between the various examinations) and serves as a crossroads between other modules (RT and Chemo treatment). In the module are defined various print reports for orders for different examinations (CT, MR, MRS, and many others). In the module Registry is also possible to register for individual patients , regulatory fees and medical records (different kinds of photodocumentation or laboratory results).

Medical reports this module can create and edit and is tailored to oncology practice. You can record one primary diagnosis and any number of secondary diagnoses, which may be further specified in cancer treatment TNM (or pTNM) classifications. Structure of the report can easily be changed without a major problem, the administrator can create a new type of messages that will better suit specific workplace.

As well as being adapted oncology medical reports is adapted even anamnesis (extended by the contact with carcinogens, previous radiation therapy, or prior chemotherapy).

Radiotherapy module is designed to radiotherapy treatment data collecting at one place and are easily accessible from the central patient record (Registry). In the RT course card itself you can find the basic information about patient course such as the type of course (outpatient x inpatient), the beginning and the end of stay, referring physician, information on the latest changes and stay on message which contains data such as primary disease, RT balance sheet, findings, the degree of pain or patient information. RT course card serves as a crossroads between irradiation protocols, which hold information about a specific radiation therapy or gather information about the RT programs (OIS M2 offers easy way of import RT plans, RT Dose etc. from PACS). The irradiation protocol can be configured into fractions so we achieve an easy overview of the patient's tre­atment.

OIS module M2 card file also allows you to display a list of monitored structures. In one table the user can see a list of all of the observed structures and the next table displays the graph of the benefits of individual structures.

Non tumorous RT in concept OIS M2 differs to tumor RT. While tumor RT is calculated with the fact that the patient is irradiated every day for the total number of fractions that had been placed on a schedule at RT. For non-cancer RT is calculated with the fact that the radiation is not continuous and systems in this module this honor and adapt the work. The gross breakdown of fractions can be obtained by importing the plan of predefined templates and can later date to define in detail each fraction.

The irradiation protocol also contains forms for medical rounds and device simulation.

Module chemotherapy is used to register the application of chemotherapy treatment. It is based on pre-defined protocols where it is possible to define the types and doses of different drugs. The protocol of chemotherapy can define various properties and control mechanisms (diluted in x ml BSA to 1, then y ml, define alternatives to products premedication and much more).

The treatment itself is structured so that the highest degree of structure, Chemo course. The next stage is the line followed cycle and the last stage of the protocol . Generally, one patient may have any number of chemo courses. Chemo course can have any number of lines and the lines can have any number of cycles and the cycle contains one protocol. It is up to individual devices such as selected by the organization view and manage data.

Overview of treatment can then be displayed in a table where each row contains one application a day (in such table are confirmed by a further written comments concerning the application). Faster overview provides a calendar days of application where a user can quickly see when and what was applied.

Module Chemotherapy offers the ability to manage a single application beds. The Administrator defines the bed and depending on the treatment bed occupancy is observed and accordingly organize treatment of patients. This method has the advantage that the data are included for different workbooks for each department but at one place and shared between users of the system.

Statistics and Management level

This level of system is used to transfer medical data into numbers that are interested mainly economic departments of hospitals (with some exceptions) in. In this level you will find an outline of sending doctors , the number of diagnoses treated in the period, the number of treated fractions in the period, the number of points assigned to each insurance or the number of points each performance.

Another part of this level is to configure the insurance and contract performance (which you can show the insurance company). At this level we obtained data from treatment to undergo a check on this basis, can generate benefits for insurance companies (control system controls the accuracy of the frequency limitation, restriction Q, monitors the correct diagnosis codes and insurance companies and monitors whether a particular power coupled to ZULP contains really ZULP).

Finally, to this level, employees in the module for the statement of work to create a statement of work. In this module you can watch the selected holiday and print requisition to recover. All in one place without having to navigate multiple systems.

Administrator level

This level is a kind of ""control room"" of the entire system. There administrators can define user roles associated with this definition approaches. They can manage user accounts, configure the expertise of treatment, manage radiation devices define and edit a new front in the ER (again elimination different workbooks). Administrators can also define new types of medical reports and affect their appearance. They can enter predefined texts for different parts of medical reports. In this section, chemotherapy protocols are defined and managed by the application of chemotherapy bed, checked the dials are sending doctors and medicines and last but not least you can edit the entire help system.
